Drs. Rosemarie Maas

Urban Planner and Policy Advisor

Rosemarie Maas MSc (1967) is a spatial planner with twenty-five years of experience as a policy advisor in spatial development for sports, physical activity, recreation, and play – ranging from strategic policy to on-the-ground projects. Rosemarie has a fascination for the design of cities that she regularly visits, analyzing the factors that contribute to their success.

Together, the authors form Bureau KM.

Ing. Kyra Kuitert ®RCE

CPTED Expert and Public Space Consultant

Ing. Kyra Kuitert ®RCE (1962) studied landscape architecture and works at Bureau K2 as a public space consultant. In addition to greenery and health, her specialty is social safety. Kyra is a registered CPTED-expert (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) and has published hundreds of articles in professional journals since 1994

Together, the authors form Bureau KM.

City at Eye Level

Rosemarie and Kyra were invited to contribute a chapter to the book City at Eye Level, focusing on how Dutch organizations collaborate to create superior cities and high-quality public spaces. This contribution was commissioned for the international Placemaking Week in Amsterdam.

Lectures

The authors regularly deliver lectures on the principles, vision, and guidelines of "Great Places". Recent engagements include presentations for the Association for Sport and Municipalities (VSG), the Design Institute, and the BNSP Environment Tour.
